If you break the law under sections 65 to 71 of the Outer Space and High-altitude Activities Act 2017, you might get an extra penalty. The court can give you this extra penalty when they find you guilty of the offence. You could have to pay a fine of up to three times the amount of money you made from breaking the law.

If you broke the law under sections 65, 66, or 67, the court can also order you to pay the Crown to cover any costs they have to pay because of what you did. This includes costs under the Outer Space Treaty or the Liability Convention, or any other international claim against the Crown. You would have to pay the Crown to cover these costs if you are found guilty of the offence.
