If you are in charge of a special area, you must make sure people in that area wear identity cards. You have to take practical steps to have a system in place all the time to ensure this happens, as stated in section 63. If you do not do this, you can get in trouble and have to pay a fine.

If you are an individual and you fail to comply, you can be fined up to $50,000. If you are a company, you can be fined up to $100,000 for not following the rules. You will be considered to have committed an offence if you do not make sure people in the special area wear their identity cards.
