When you have an election or poll, the person in charge must tell the public about it. They must say what day the election or poll is, which area it is for, and who is in charge of it. They must also say what system will be used for the election or poll and how people will vote. The person in charge must give public notice at least 25 days before the electoral roll closes or before nominations are due. If there is more than one election or poll, the notices can be combined. The person in charge must send a copy of the notice to any other person involved in the election or poll.
