You are involved in a sale on consignment with a motor vehicle trader. The trader must give you a written account when you ask for it, or within 5 working days after the sale is completed. This account must include details of all the money the trader received on your behalf and how they used it. When the sale is completed, it does not matter if the trader has yet to notify the change of ownership as required by section 247 of the Land Transport Act 1998. The trader must still provide you with the account as stated.
