When you search the register, you can only use certain details to find what you are looking for. You can search by the name of a motor vehicle trader who is registered as an individual, or by their residential address. You can also search by the name and address of a company that is registered as a motor vehicle trader. You can search by the company's name, its registered office address, or the unique number given to the company when it was incorporated. You can also search by the name of a person who manages the company, their residential address, or their email address. The register can also be searched using the registration number or unique identifier given to the motor vehicle trader under section 36, or by the trading name of the motor vehicle trader's business. You can also search using any other criteria that are prescribed, or by the motor vehicle trader's email address if they are registered as an individual.

57Search criteria

  1. The register may be searched only by reference to the following criteria:

  2. in the case of a motor vehicle trader who applied for registration as an individual,—
