Electricity industry governance - Monitoring and enforcement - Appeals

63: Appeal on ground of lack of jurisdiction

You could also call this:

“You can ask a higher court to check if the Rulings Panel was allowed to make a decision about you”

If you are an industry participant or a specified person affected by a decision made by the Rulings Panel, you can appeal that decision to the High Court. You can only do this if you think the Rulings Panel didn’t have the authority to make that decision. This is called appealing on the ground of lack of jurisdiction. The High Court is a higher court that can check if the Rulings Panel was allowed to make the decision they made.
