Illustration for Electricity Industry Act 2010

When you see a reference to the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 or certain other electricity regulations in any document, you should understand it to mean the Code or the matching part of the Code, unless the context suggests otherwise.

The specific regulations this applies to are:

  1. The Electricity Governance Rules made under section 172H of the Electricity Act 1992.
  2. Some parts of the Electricity Governance Regulations 2003.
  3. The part of the Electricity Governance Regulations 2003 that deals with Comalco agreements exemptions.
  4. The Electricity Governance (Security of Supply) Regulations 2008.
  5. The Electricity Governance (Connection of Distributed Generation) Regulations 2007.

This helps make sure that old rules and new rules are understood to mean the same thing in agreements and other documents.
