Electricity industry governance - Monitoring and enforcement - Code enforcement

61: Powers in relation to appeals and disputes

You could also call this:

“The Rulings Panel can make decisions about disagreements, but must follow the rules”

When the Rulings Panel is deciding on an appeal or solving a dispute that is mentioned in the rules or the Code, they can make any decision, order, or instruction they think is right. However, they must follow two important things:

First, they need to follow any general rules about appeals and disputes that are written in the regulations.

Second, if there are special rules in the regulations or the Code for that specific type of appeal or dispute, the Rulings Panel must follow those rules.
