The Minister can revoke approval of a labelling body at any time. You need to know the Minister does this by publishing a notice in the Gazette. The Minister can do this if the labelling body does not meet requirements or fails to comply with conditions. The Minister checks if the labelling body meets requirements in section 72(4) of the Act. You can read about this in section 72. The Minister also checks if the labelling body complies with conditions. The Minister must give the labelling body a chance to be heard before revoking approval. This means the labelling body can say something before the Minister makes a decision. The Minister makes sure the labelling body is heard before revoking approval.
