172Vacation of office of existing office-holders

  1. Subject to section 173, for the avoidance of doubt, it is hereby declared that no person who, immediately before the commencement of this section, is holding any office by virtue of any appointment made under, or pursuant to, or for the purposes of, the Indecent Publications Act 1963 or the Films Act 1983 or the Video Recordings Act 1987 shall, by virtue of the operation of any provision of the Interpretation Act 1999 or any other enactment or rule of law, be taken to hold any office under this Act as a member or employee of the Classification Office or as a member of the Board.
