When you publish printed matter in New Zealand, you must put your name and address on it. If you are a wholesale distributor selling printed matter from another country, you must also put your name and address on it. You can find more information about exemptions in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019. If you do not follow these rules, you can get a fine of up to $500. The Minister of Justice can grant exemptions from these rules for certain printed matter. You must follow these rules to avoid getting in trouble. An exemption is considered secondary legislation, which you can learn more about in the Legislation Act 2019.
