The Chief Censor is in charge of running the Classification Office. You can think of the Chief Censor as the boss who makes sure everything runs smoothly. They decide who does what, including what the Deputy Chief Censor and other classification officers are responsible for. The Chief Censor also decides how tasks are shared among the classification officers. When it comes to other administrative tasks, the Classification Office follows the rules set out in section 25 of the Crown Entities Act 2004. The Board can give some of its jobs to the Chief Censor, the Deputy Chief Censor, or a classification officer, but only if the Chief Censor agrees. For other tasks, the Classification Office follows the rules set out in section 73 of the Crown Entities Act 2004.
