If you have a permit, you can ask the Minister to change the conditions of your permit. You must ask the Minister at least 90 working days before the date you need to meet the condition you want to change, but you should also look at section 59. The Minister can agree to your request if they think you still meet the requirements, and if changing the condition will help achieve the purpose of the Act or make it easier to manage permits.

The Minister will check if you or your project still meet the necessary requirements, which are listed in section 19(1) for some permits or section 29(1) for others. The Minister must also be satisfied that changing the condition is a good idea. This means they must think it will help make the Act work better or make permits easier to manage.

The Minister has to make a decision based on these rules. You can only ask for a change if you follow these steps. The Minister's decision will depend on your specific situation.
