This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

If a compliance notice is given to you, it must be in writing. The notice must say that an enforcement officer thinks you are breaking a rule or might break a rule. It must also say what rule you are breaking, how you are breaking it, and how long you have to fix the problem.

The notice might tell you what you can do to fix the problem or stop it from happening. It could also talk about the things that are causing the problem. You might get a compliance notice if you are doing something that is against the rules of the Offshore Renewable Energy Bill.

A compliance notice can be sent to you using your real name or the name of your business.
