If you do not tell the Minister about a change in your situation that might affect their decision, you could be in trouble. This is because you would be breaking a proposed rule that says you must notify the Minister of certain changes, as outlined in section 49 and section 122. You would only be in trouble if you did not have a good reason for not telling the Minister.

If you break this proposed rule, you could be fined up to $200,000 if you are found guilty. This is a big penalty, so it is important to follow the proposed rules. The proposed rules are part of a bill to change the law about offshore renewable energy.

You must follow the proposed rules if you want to avoid getting in trouble.
