When the Minister decides whether to take away a permit, you need to think about some things. The Minister must consider what the permit holder said under section 54 and the circumstances that led to the reason for taking away the permit. The Minister also thinks about what the permit holder did to fix the problem.

The Minister considers how taking away the permit will affect the permit holder and New Zealand's energy system. You also think about what the permit holder did to stop the problem from happening again. The Minister looks at any other important things that the regulations say to consider.

The Minister decides when the permit will be taken away, if that is what they choose to do. You think about all these things to make a decision about the permit. The Minister must consider all the important information before making a decision.
