When you get a marriage certificate, it must have all the information that is recorded about your marriage. This includes information that the regulations say must be on the certificate. When you get a civil union certificate, it must have all the information that is recorded about your civil union. This also includes information that the regulations say must be on the certificate. If the Registrar-General has recorded that your marriage or civil union was dissolved outside New Zealand under section 63, they must also put this information on your certificate.
