47Registrar-General may register death that occurs outside New Zealand only in limited circumstances

  1. The Registrar-General may register a death that occurs outside New Zealand only if—

  2. the Registrar-General is notified in accordance with section 45; or
    1. section 48 applies to the death.
      1. The Registrar-General may (without limiting the generality of section 127) decline to register information notified under section 45(b) if not satisfied that its registration is appropriate.
