136Registrar-General may specify how notifications, requests, applications, and other documents must be provided

  1. The Registrar-General may issue directions specifying the manner in which a person may notify or request information, make an application, or otherwise provide information or documents for the purposes of this Act and regulations, including specifying—

  2. how the information or document may be notified or provided; and
    1. the form or other format and medium that must be used in connection with the notification or provision of the information or document; and
      1. requirements in connection with the use of an approved form or format and medium.
        1. The Registrar-General may refuse to perform or exercise a function, duty, or power in relation to the document or information if—

        2. a direction under subsection (1) is not complied with; or
          1. the requirements of this Act or regulations have otherwise not been complied with (for example, where the information required by regulations has not been provided).
            1. The information required in a form or format and medium specified in directions issued under subsection (1)(b) must be prescribed by regulations.
