89Registrar-General may make certain limited information available to search online

  1. The Registrar-General may make the following information available to search on an Internet site maintained by, or on behalf of, the Registrar-General:

  2. in respect of a birth (including a stillbirth), the year the birth was registered and the name of the person born:
    1. in respect of a marriage or civil union, the year the marriage or civil union was registered and the name of the parties to the marriage or civil union:
      1. in respect of a death, the year the death was registered and the name at death of the person who died.
        1. The Registrar-General may also make available, in respect of a birth, marriage, or death recorded in a pre-1998 register, the folio number for the information.

        2. Information that is subject to a non-disclosure direction under section 103 may not be made available under this section.
