To access some information, you must confirm your identity. You can do this to search information made available by the Registrar-General under section 89, or to request access to information and source documents under section 91. You must satisfy any evidence of identity requirements prescribed by regulations and provide any means of identification the Registrar-General reasonably requires. 88Person must confirm identity to access information under this subpart

  1. Only a person who confirms the person’s identity in accordance with subsection (2) may—

  2. search information made available by the Registrar-General under section 89; or
    1. request access to information and source documents under section 91.

      1. The person must—

      2. satisfy any evidence of identity requirements prescribed by regulations; and
        1. in respect of a request under section 91, provide any means of identification that the Registrar-General reasonably requires to confirm the identity of the person making the request.

          1. However, a person does not have to confirm their identity under subsection (1) to request access to historical information under section 91(1)(a) or (b).
