Public access to information: Restricted information
109Registrar-General may provide access to restricted information on court order
The Registrar-General may provide access to restricted information on the order of the Family Court, the District Court, or the High Court—
- for the purposes of a prosecution for making a false statement; or
- in the event of any question as to the validity of—
- any interim order or adoption order (if the order relates to adoption information); or
- a marriage or civil union (if the order relates to new identity information); or
- any information recorded under section 26 (if the order relates to restricted name-change information or restricted sex information); or
- any interim order or adoption order (if the order relates to adoption information); or
- on any other special ground.
