21Operational levy
The Authority may from time to time, by notice
, impose on every licensee an operational levy of any amount that the Authority thinks fit for the purpose of funding the costs arising from any or all of the following:- the performance of the functions of the Authority:
- the performance of the functions of the Registrar:
- any investigation by, or proceeding of, a Complaints Assessment Committee.
Any notice imposing any levy under this section may do either or both of the following:
- prescribe different amounts as the levy payable by different classes of licensee:
- exempt from liability to pay that levy, in whole or in part, any class or classes of licensee, and may provide for the waiver or refund of the whole or part of that levy.
A notice under this section is secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements).
