You commit an offence if you give a false account of money you received as a real estate agent. You know the account is false in an important way. If you do this, you can get in trouble. You can be liable for a fine or imprisonment if you commit this offence. As an individual, you can get a fine of up to $40,000 or imprisonment for up to 2 years, or both. As a company, you can get a fine of up to $100,000. The law says you must tell the truth when giving accounts of money you received as a real estate agent. You must not give false accounts, or you will break the law.
