Real Estate Agents Act 2008

Complaints and discipline - Complaints Assessment Committees

81: Notice of decision

You could also call this:

"What happens when a complaint is decided"

Illustration for Real Estate Agents Act 2008

If a Complaints Assessment Committee decides not to take action on a complaint, they must tell you in writing. You will get this notice if you made the complaint or if you are the person the complaint is about. The notice must say what the decision is and why it was made. The notice must also tell you about your right to appeal, as stated in section 111. This means you can ask for the decision to be reviewed if you do not agree with it. You will be told how to do this in the notice. You should receive the notice promptly, which means as soon as possible after the decision is made.
