The Authority can impose a disciplinary levy on every licensee at any time. You will have to pay this levy to help fund the costs of any proceedings of the Tribunal. The Authority can decide how much the levy will be and can impose different amounts on different classes of licensees, or exempt some classes from paying the levy, as stated in the notice, which is considered secondary legislation, see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for publication requirements. The Authority can also waive or refund the levy, in whole or in part, for any class of licensees. The notice that imposes the levy must follow certain rules.
