Illustration for Real Estate Agents Act 2008

You are a member of a Complaints Assessment Committee or helping one. You are not liable for things you do or do not do while performing your duties under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008. This includes things you say or write during a hearing, or notices you give. You are protected from liability for your actions, unless you act in bad faith. If you act in bad faith, this protection does not apply to you. This is similar to a provision in another act, which you can find at https://legislation.govt.nz/act/public/1986/0120/latest/link.aspx?id=DLM366730
