52Renewal of licence

  1. An application for renewal of a licence must, before the date on which the licence expires,—

  2. be made to the Registrar in the prescribed form; and
    1. be accompanied by the prescribed fee (if any).
      1. Subject to subsection (3), sections 36, 37, and 43 apply, with any necessary modifications, to an application for renewal of a licence.

      2. The Registrar must, in addition to the matters specified in section 43(1), be satisfied that the applicant for renewal of a licence has completed any continuing education required by practice rules made by the Authority pursuant to section 15.

      3. If an application for renewal of a licence has been made but not determined before the date on which the licence is due to expire, the licence continues in force until the application is determined.

      4. The grant of a renewal of a licence takes effect from the date of expiry of the previous licence.
