"Creating new records for transferred and kept radio frequencies"

Illustration for Radiocommunications Act 1989

When the Registrar cancels a record of management rights under section 44, they create two new records. You get a record for the radio frequencies that are being transferred and another record for the frequencies the manager is keeping. The Registrar does this to keep track of the changes. The Registrar must add some information to the new records of management rights. You will see the reference numbers of spectrum licences that were on the old record, if they are relevant to the new record. The Registrar also adds any conditions that were on the old record, if they apply to the new record. The Registrar is making these changes to update the records and make sure everything is accurate. You can think of it like updating a list when something changes. The Registrar is keeping track of the radio frequencies and the conditions that apply to them.
