50Officer ceasing to hold office

  1. A person ceases to be an officer of a society if the person—

  2. resigns in accordance with subsection (2); or
    1. is removed from office in accordance with the society’s constitution; or
      1. becomes disqualified from being an officer under section 47(3); or
        1. dies; or
          1. otherwise vacates office in accordance with the society’s constitution.
            1. An officer of a society may resign office—

            2. in the manner provided in the constitution; or
              1. if the constitution does not provide for a manner, by signing a written notice of resignation and giving it to the society.
                1. The notice of resignation is effective when it is received by the society or at a later time specified in the notice.
