238Search purposes

  1. A search of the register may be carried out only by the following persons for the following purposes:

  2. a person for the purpose of determining whether an entity is a society under this Act:
    1. a person for the purpose of obtaining information about the nature, activities, officers, and purposes of a society:
      1. a person for the purpose of knowing how to contact a society:
        1. an individual, or a person with the consent of the individual, for the purpose of searching for information about that individual:
          1. a person for the purpose of assisting the person in the exercise of the person’s powers under this Act or any other legislation:
            1. a person for the purpose of assisting the person in the performance of the person’s functions under this Act or any other legislation.
