You can hold a general meeting of a society in different ways. A meeting can be held when people are together at the same time and place. You can also hold a meeting when people join in by audio link, audiovisual link, or other electronic communication. You can use a combination of these methods to hold a meeting. This means some people can be together at the same time and place, and others can join in electronically. The society's constitution is important when deciding how to hold a meeting. The constitution may have specific rules about general meetings, including how many people need to be there and how voting works. You can find more information about this in sections 26(1)(k) and 93. These sections explain how the constitution can deal with arrangements and requirements for general meetings.
