When you work for an agency, anything you do as part of your job is considered to be done by the agency. If you are given information as part of your job, it is like the agency has been given the information. You can find more information about this by looking at the Privacy Act 2020 and similar laws, such as the 1993 law. This helps to make it clear who is responsible for the actions of the people working for the agency.
