When there is an emergency, you want the government to keep working. The government departments must make sure they can still do their jobs, even if it is not as well as they usually do. They have to be ready to show their plan for keeping things running during and after an emergency to the Director if they are asked for it.

You can find more information about this in the Public Service Act. The government departments have to be prepared so they can help people during an emergency. They must have a plan to keep working, and they must share this plan with the Director when they are asked to.
