Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002

Powers in relation to civil defence emergency management

79: Form and content of warrant

You could also call this:

"What a warrant must look like and what it must say"

When a warrant is issued under section 78, you need to know it must follow some rules. It has to be in a special form that is already decided. The warrant will say how long it is valid for, and this can be up to 10 days.

The warrant is given to a specific constable, a group of constables, or all constables. It might also have some special conditions that a District Court Judge decides. These conditions will be written in the warrant.
