The Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002 is empowered by s 117. You can find the empowering provision in section 117.
This act amends many other laws in New Zealand.
These laws include the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and the Constitution Act 1986.
You will also find changes to the Crown Research Institutes Act 1992, the Customs and Excise Act 1996, and the Defence Act 1990.
The Finance Act 1968, the Fire Service Act 1975, and the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977 are also amended.
These changes are part of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002.
Other laws that are amended include the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Health Act 1956, and the Layout Designs Act 1994.
