Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002

Miscellaneous provisions

113: Recovery of costs by Civil Defence Emergency Management Groups

You could also call this:

"How emergency groups can get back costs for helping each other"

If you are part of a Civil Defence Emergency Management Group, you can ask another group for help with emergency management. If they agree to help, they can recover their costs from you. They can get back the actual and reasonable costs they incurred for helping you, as if it were a debt you owe them, but only if you did not make any other agreement about the costs.

You can find more information about when a group can ask for help in section 17(1)(f). This rule is about how groups work together and share costs. It helps groups manage emergencies and recover their expenses.
