If you pretend to be someone you are not, like the Director or a Controller, you can get in trouble. You do this when you say you are someone important in civil defence when you are not. This includes saying you are a Recovery Manager, a member of a Civil Defence Emergency Management Group, or someone who works with them. You can also get in trouble if you say you have authority to do things under this Act or a civil defence emergency management plan when you do not. You must not intentionally pretend to be someone you are not in these situations.
