Powers in relation to civil defence emergency management

80: Powers conferred by warrant

You could also call this:

"What a police officer can do with a special search permission"

If a warrant is issued under section 78, it gives a constable the power to enter and search premises at any time. The constable can use assistants and force if it is reasonable to do so. You can find more information about the warrant in section 79 and section 78.

The constable can search for and seize certain information, and to do this, they can take copies of documents or extracts from them. They can also ask someone to help reproduce information stored in a document.

If someone is called to assist a constable who is executing a warrant, they have certain powers, which are described in the warrant issued under section 78.
