You are a midshipman, officer cadet, or chaplain. You cannot arrest someone using the powers in section 88 or 90. You also cannot issue or execute a warrant for arrest under section 89. 101DRestrictions in relation to midshipmen, officer cadets, and chaplains

  1. A midshipman, an officer cadet, or a chaplain may not—

  2. exercise the powers of arrest conferred by section 88 or 90; or
    1. issue or execute a warrant for arrest under section 89.
      1. A chaplain may not be—

      2. ordered to arrest a person subject to this Act under any of sections 88, 89, and 90; or
        1. ordered to carry out a search under section 96; or
          1. directed to search any arrested person under section 98.
            1. A chaplain may not be authorised or ordered by a commanding officer to exercise any of the powers conferred on a commanding officer by section 95(1).
