100Duty of persons arresting

  1. Where a person subject to this Act has been placed under arrest pursuant to this Part, the person ordering the arrest, or, if no such order has been given, the person making the arrest, shall ensure that, as soon as practicable after the arrest, and in any event not later than 24 hours thereafter, the person arrested is informed of the offence for which the arrest was made.
