Sentencing Act 2002

Sentences, orders, and related matters - Offender levy and victims' services bank account

105I: Regulations on operation of account

You could also call this:

"Rules for managing a special account"

The Governor-General can make rules about how an account is used. You need to know that these rules can say when and how money is paid out of the account. The rules can also say how the Secretary can use the account.

The Governor-General's rules are called secondary legislation, and if you want to learn more about what that means, you can look at Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019. These rules have to be published, so you can find out what they say. This helps you understand how the account is managed.
