65: Supervision of offender while doing community work

You could also call this:

"Someone in charge watches you while you do community work as part of your sentence."

Illustration for Sentencing Act 2002

When you are doing community work at a community work centre, a probation officer is in charge of you. They control, direct, and supervise you while you are at the centre. They also supervise you when you are at another place they told you to go or gave you permission to go.

When you are travelling between the community work centre and another place, or between two other places, a probation officer is still in charge of you. If you are doing community work with an organisation other than a community work centre, a probation officer supervises you at all times while you are working or should be working. This supervision happens as long as you are doing your community work as part of your sentence.
