The Governor-General can make regulations for the Sentencing Act 2002. You might wonder what these regulations are for. They can be about things like creating forms, recording changes to vehicle registration, and deciding fines for breaking rules.

The Governor-General can also make regulations about the amount of money people have to pay as a levy under section 105B. Regulations can be made for other matters that are necessary for the Act to work properly.

You can find out more about what regulations are and how they are published by looking at Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
