117: Commencement of period of non-association

You could also call this:

"When a non-association order starts and you must stay away from certain people or places"

Illustration for Sentencing Act 2002

When you get a non-association order, it usually starts on the day it is made. You will have to stay away from certain people or places from that day on. The order will say how long you have to stay away.

If you are in prison and get a non-association order that is added to your prison sentence, the order starts when you are released from prison. This means you will have to stay away from certain people or places after you leave prison. You can find more information about this in section 114(2).
