If you have been given a sentence of community work, a probation officer might reduce the number of hours you have to work. This can happen if the probation officer thinks you have been doing a good job of following the rules of your community work sentence. The probation officer can reduce your community work hours by up to 10 percent of the total hours the court told you to do.
