If you are a climate reporting entity, you must give the Registrar some documents within 4 months after your balance date. You need to give the Registrar your climate statements or group climate statements that you had to prepare under sections 461Z to 461ZB, and the assurance practitioner's report on those statements. You can find more information about what you need to prepare in sections 461Z to 461ZB.

If you are a manager of a registered scheme and you are a climate reporting entity, you also need to give the Registrar some documents within 4 months after the scheme's balance date. You need to give the Registrar your climate statements that you had to prepare under section 461ZC, and the assurance practitioner's report on those statements.

If you do not give the Registrar the documents you are supposed to, you can get in trouble and have to pay a fine of up to $50,000. This is an infringement offence, which you can read more about in subpart 5 of Part 8.
