Illustration for Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013

When you need to find out the total number of financial products in a class for disclosure purposes, you can assume the most recently published number is correct. You can find this number in a document sent to the holders of that class of products by the listed issuer, or on an Internet site maintained by the relevant licensed market operator.

If you know the published number is not correct, you cannot assume it is correct.

You can compare this to the Securities Amendment Act 1988 to see how the rules have changed.
