Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013

Disclosure of offers of financial products - Procedure for making regulated offers - Other provisions relating to lodging of PDS and other documents

72: Supplementary document

You could also call this:

"Extra information that adds to the main document about a financial product"

When you lodge a supplementary document with the Registrar, it becomes part of the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for the purposes of this Act. This means the PDS and supplementary document are considered together for any events that happen after lodgement. You need to think of them as one document.

The person who issues the PDS must make sure the supplementary document has certain information at the beginning. This includes a statement saying it is a supplementary document, which PDS it is supplementing, and what other supplementary documents have been lodged. It must also say that you should read it with the original PDS and other supplementary documents.

The supplementary document must have the date it is lodged with the Registrar.
