You can use water for free in an emergency or for training. This applies to all FENZ personnel when they are performing their duties or training. They can use water from hydrants, water mains, or any other source of water. You can also use water from any supply for emergencies or training. This is for FENZ personnel to do their job or to train for their job. They must follow the rules of the National Controller under the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002 if there is a state of emergency. This rule also applies to defence fire brigades and industry brigades. They must follow the same rules as FENZ personnel when using water in an emergency or for training. The National Controller's rules must be followed if there is a state of emergency.
